What is outreach?

Matthew 28:18-20

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

bus ministry

Christ's last command (The Great Commission) ought to be the church's first priority. That is why we have outreach opportunities for members to get personally involved in reaching out to our local community, and the world, with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Each week dozens of children, teenagers, and adults from Leesburg, Fruitland Park, and Lady Lake ride the church buses to attend services both Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. These riders would not be able to come otherwise. Many of them have been saved and are now faithful riders, growing each week in their relationship with God.

If you or someone you know would like to ride one of our buses to church, please contact us or call the church office at 352.787.7673.

Mark 16:15

And [Jesus] said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

We are privileged to support dozens of Baptist missionaries serving in countries all across the globe. We are especially focused on missionaries who are called to plant churches. During our yearly Missions Conference we get to visit with some of these missionaries, as well as meet new missionaries and hear their burden to reach the people to which God has called them.

Jesus tells the church in Acts 1:8 "...ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." God wants His church to be a witness not just to the local community, but to the uttermost part of the earth at the same time.
